Charlie Blackmon, Andy Pagers, Shohei Ohtani, and Teoscar Hernandez hit home runs tonight
Charlie Blackmon smashed a solo home run at the top of the fifth inning against Daniel Hudson. Dave Roberts has used multiple pitches against the Rockies tonight.
Andy Pages responded with a solo home run, while Shohei Ohtani went deep from the plate with a two-run homer. Ohtani smashed his 52nd homer and is now trailing Aaron Judge by one. Sam Hilliard hit another solo home run to tie the game 3-3. However, Teoscar Hernandez hit his 30th home run to give his team the lead again.
Ad
Right after Hernandez's homer, Ohtani recorded his 52nd stolen base. The pitching experiment seemed to have worked well for the team. Brusdar Graterol was the only pitcher to throw two innings, while the rest finished with one each.
The offense played a crucial role in securing the win since no starting pitching went deep. Ohtani and his squad have come one step closer to winning the NL West Division title.
