The Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Mets played Game 3 of their NLCS series at Citi Field on Wednesday. The Met had a warm welcome at home after winning Game 2.
Luis Severino took the mound for the Mets while Walker Buehler went up against him. Severino looked sharp on the mound as he struck out Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman. Buehler surrendered a base hit in the bottom of the first inning but struck out two hitters.
The Boys in Blue got to a quick start as they drove in two runs in the top of the second inning. Will Smith drove in the first run, while Tommy Edman drove in the second. Buehler and Severino were caught in a jam with the bases loaded but worked their way out.
Buehler had a strong outing for his team with four scoreless innings. Severino was taken out of the mound Kike Hernandez went deep with a two-run shot to give his team a 4-0 lead at the bottom of the sixth.
Shohei Ohtani went deep with a towering three-run blast, while Max Muncy smashed a solo shot to second deck. The Mets trailed with an 8-0 score at the top of the ninth.

Kike Hernandez, Shohei Ohtani and Max Muncy hit home runs tonight
Kike Hernandez recorded a two-run blast that went deep to left field against Reed Garrett. It was Hernandez's 15th postseason home run. The Dodgers had a 4-0 lead over the Mets.
Shohei Ohtani went deep with a towering two-run shot against Tylor Megill that landed on the second deck. Ohtani gave his team a 7-0 lead. Max Muncy stepped in at the top of the ninth inning and smashed a solo shot that landed on the second deck as well.
The Mets suffered a miserable loss as their opponent dominated with their strong pitching. Several Mets fans had left the stadium before the game was over. Jose Quintana will start in Game 4 against Yoshinobu Yamamoto. A comeback victory in Game 4 will help the Mets. However, Yamamoto's pitching is sure to be a threat.
