On Thursday, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Mets continued their NLCS battle at Citi Field. The Mets have a disadvantage in this series as they trail 2-1.

Dave Roberts sent Yoshinobu Yamamoto on the mound as their starter, while the Mets had Jose Quintana on the mound against Yamamoto. Shohei Ohtani opened the scoring with a solo home run at the top of the first inning to give his team a 1-0 lead.
The Mets responded instantly as Mark Vientos smashed a solo home run to tie the game. However, the Boys in Blue stepped up their game in the third inning as Kike Hernandez recorded a base hit which drove in Mookie Betts and Ohtani.
The Mets had the bases loaded in the bottom of the third, but they only scored one run. Quintana was removed from the game, and the Mets surrendered two more runs at the top of the fourth.
The Mets were in trouble again at the top of the sixth inning as they surrendered two more runs to their opponent. Mookie Betts went deep with a solo home run as they took a 7-2 lead.

Tommy Edman smashed a two-run double as the Dodgers opened up with their offense. The Mets squandered their opportunities to score with the bases loaded as they failed to secure a win.

Shohei Ohtani, Mark Vientos, and Mookie Betts hit home runs tonight
Shohei Ohtani was the first to hit a home run, followed by Mark Vientos. Mookie Betts stepped in at the top of the sixth and cranked one deep to left field to give the Dodgers a 7-2 lead.
Los Angeles recorded an easy win as they took out the Mets in Game 4. Ohtani and his squad are just one win away from making it to the World Series. Roberts will send Jack Flaherty to the mound as their starter in Game 5 as they look to take out the Mets.
The Boys in Blue finished with a comfortable 10-2 final score. They outscored the Mets 18-2 in the last two games.
