It truly was a year to remember for Francisco Lindor and the New York Mets. After opening the 2024 campaign on a rough note, they turned the tide and surprised many by securing a postseason berth. Not only did the Mets clinch a playoff berth, but they made an exciting run to the National League Championship Series.

Although the Mets ultimately fell to the LA Dodgers in the NLCS, it was a special postseason run for both the players and fans. Lindor acknowledged this on social media and took the time to thank everyone for the memorable 2024 campaign.

In the post, Lindor showcased several moments from the 2024 season, including home runs, amazing defensive plays and interactions with fans.

"This year made me a better player and a better person. Thank you Mets Nation for pushing me everyday! See you in 2025 -Mr. Smile," Lindor captioned.

Through 152 games, Lindor posted a .273 batting average with 33 home runs, 91 RBIs and 29 stolen bases. Lindor may not have been an All-Star this season, but he is considered the only legitimate contender to Shohei Ohtani for the National League MVP award.

It will be an interesting offseason for Francisco Lindor and the New York Mets

Despite making a surprising NLCS appearance, there is a chance that Lindor's teammates could look considerably different next season. The New York Mets will be one of the most interesting teams to keep an eye on this offseason as some of their key veterans are set to become unrestricted free agents.

It remains to be seen if the deep postseason run will change the plans of the Mets' front office or not, but some significant roster changes could occur. Pete Alonso, Jose Quintana, Luis Severino, Jesse Winker and Harrison Bader are a few of the club's pending free agents. If they opt to move on from some of these players, Lindor could be lined up next to new teammates next season.
