Mason Miller has been rumored to be a trade candidate, however, MLB analyst Jon Heyman thinks otherwise. Miller has gained significant attraction across the major league due to his ruthless pitching style.
Jon Heyman said Miller will most likely not be traded, because he still has five years left to be a free agent, and he's doing a great job as a pitcher. He recalled how Miller struck out Shohei Ohtani as he threw 101.8 miles per hour.

"All right, let's talk about Mason Miller first. Five years to go. He didn't beg for a trade. I give him credit. The guy threw 101.8 miles an hour to strike out Ohtani in the all-star game. He is an absolute star of the game," Heyman said.
However, Heyman didn't completely rule out a trade, especially after the Oakland flamethrower's rapid pitches at the 2024 All-Star Game.
"Ran into somebody close to him. The feeling is really that unlikely to be traded. Does that mean that's for sure? No, because you never know what could happen at the trade deadline."
Alongside Garrett Crochet, Mason Miller is regarded as the fastest pitcher in the MLB, as his average pitching goes up to 100.9 mph. Up until now, he's delivered 70 strikeouts and has been consistent for the Oakland Athletics.
Mason Miller breaks the fastest pitch record of the All-Star games
Mason Miller scratched his name in the All-Star Game record book on Tuesday night. His first pitch to Trea Turner clocked in at 103.6 mph, thus taking over Aroldis Chapman's record of the fastest pitch at the Midsummer Classic set in 2015. This also helped him propel the American League team to a 5-3 victory.
He controlled a perfect top of the fifth, retiring Arizona's Ketel Marte on a flyout, before fanning Shohei Ohtani with pinpoint action. The Phillies' Trea Turner bowed out to a perfectly placed slider.
"I wasn’t giving him one up, that’s for sure,” Miller said in a post-game interview. “I think I got the second strike, then I got one that might’ve been down a little bit, but I got to the back-foot slider.
It’s hard to not enjoy that, with this crowd and these players here,” Miller said. “It’s what you dream of.”
Miller kept the score knotted at 3-3 with his strong pitches. Then in the bottom fifth, Jarren Duran entered the arena and slashed a two-run homer off Hunter Greene, thus pushing his team to the victory.
