New York Mets' ace Kodai Senga is coming off a season he would like to forget. He started just one game during the regular season in 2024 after sustaining a shoulder injury that cost him nearly his entire season.
However, he is looking to put that past him and start the 2025 season on fire. He is expected to come into the new season fully ready to go.
Senga will look a bit different on the mound this upcoming season. He showed off an arsenal of stylish gloves that Zett Baseball made him, a company based out in Taiwan that has grown in popularity recently.
This is the same company that made gloves for Senga during his debut in 2023 in which the "Ghost Fork" was stitched on the webbing. Senga went with the same design, more or less, in multiple different colors.
Mets could have a sneaky-good rotation featuring Kodai Senga and Sean Manaea
All eyes will be on Kodai Senga in 2025. He and the Mets have a great chance of doing real damage this upcoming season with the addition of Juan Soto.
This is an excellent addition for a club that is coming off a season where they made it all the way to the NLCS. However, they would lose the series to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The offense should see a boost, but it will be on the pitching staff to keep the other team off the board. Senga will lead the way, with Sean Manaea likely working as the No. 2 starter.
The rest of the rotation includes David Peterson, Frankie Montas, Clay Holmes, Paul Blackburn and Griffin Canning. If all stay healthy, that is a rotation that can certainly get the job done.
