While Starling Marte has been impressive in the Dominican Republic's Winter League this MLB offseason, he turned heads last year with his customized $453,250 Rolls Royce Cullinan. The 35-year-old veteran outfielder had a disappointing season with the New York side last year due to injuries and a groin surgery before the season but will look to get his career back on track this year. Marte caught the attention of MLB fans and beyond when the company that customized the car showed off his customized Rolls-Royce on Instagram last year.

Starling Marte was signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates back in 2007 and went on to make his MLB debut for them in 2012. He established himself in 2015, winning his first Golden Glove award. He has since won the award once more and made two All-Star appearances. In 2019, he was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks and went on to move to the Miami Marlins and Oakland Athletics for short spells. He was then signed by the Mets to a four-year contract, of which he is now entering the third year.

The Rolls Royce Cullinan is a luxury SUV with a great history under its hood, costing around $391,750 and $453,250 in the market today. Marte's model was customized by TheAutoFirm and features wrapped satin black on top and a glossy red bottom, all chrome with the wheels painted black. It has also been modified for all-terrain mastery. When first posted on Instagram in March, it caught the attention of baseball fans and motorcar fans alike, and remains a classic vehicle among sports stars.

Where does Starling Marte fit into Mets' new outfield?

Starling Marte played 85 of 86 starts for the New York Mets in 2023 at right field and will most likely continue to do so next year. However, with the addition of Harrison Bader, things might be moved around. The team's management has said that they will finalize their outfield during Spring Training.

Meanwhile, Marte has been in action in the Dominican Winter League and putting up strong performances. After undergoing groin surgery before the start of last season, he never hit top form. This year, however, his involvement in the Dominican Republic has been a sign of positive things to come in the MLB.
