Mike Trout remains one of the most recognizable names in the majors even though age and injuries have started to catch up to him. The longtime Los Angeles Angels superstar has accomplished nearly everything that an individual can on the field. Although he has enjoyed incredibly limited team success based on his individual achievements, there's no denying his worthiness for the Hall of Fame.

Thanks to his incredible career, Trout is not only one of the most accomplished individual players in MLB history but also remains one of the most sought-after cards for collectors. A number of his cards have sold for massive amounts, with one selling for $3.9 million in 2020.

On Instagram on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Angels superstar shared a photo of his favorite personal one-of-one card that was produced by Topps. The gorgeous card is complete with a verified signature of the three-time MVP as well as a beautiful gold and white design.

"Excited to post my favorite 1/1 on 1/1 day!" Trout wrote on his Instagram story along with the photo of his card.

January 1st, which is known as 1/1 day among card collectors, is a day that a number of players and fans share their favorite one-of-one cards in their collection. It was not only Trout who shared his favorite card, but also New York Yankees shortstop Anthony Volpe and even Pro Football Hall of Famer and San Francisco 49ers legend Jerry Rice.

Mike Trout and the Los Angeles Angels will look to compete in 2025 after an active offseason

Even though Mike Trout is arguably the best player of his generation, he has seen limited playoff action. Over his 14-year career, Trout has only appeared in three playoff games. However, the team has been one of the most active teams so far this offseason in the hopes of changing that narrative.

The Los Angeles Angels front office wasted little time this offseason in revamping their roster ahead of the 2025 season. The team brought in a number of proven veterans to help the club push for a postseason spot, including Yusei Kikuchi, Jorge Soler, Kyle Hendricks and Travis d'Arnaud.

Although the club will have its work cut out for it heading into the new season, there is no denying that the roster heading into 2025 is much improved compared to last season. If Mike Trout can stay healthy and perform like he has throughout his career, the Angels could dramatically improve upon their 63-99 record in 2024.
