There is no denying that Los Angeles Angels slugger Mike Trout's 2024 season was a letdown. He only played in 29 games after tearing his left meniscus on two separate occasions.
However, he is expected to be ready be ready to go for Opening Day. Although, he could see a new outfield group alongside him, or see himself traded with the latest offseason news.
According to MLB insider Mark Feinsand, the Halos appear to be closing in on a trade regarding one of their outfielders. He stated Taylor Ward has been gaining interest lately, and it could be him on his way.
Some fans are hoping the club is talking about a different outfielder, Trout. They would love to see him get out of Los Angeles and play for a contending team.

Many of these fans will be really disappointed if they learn it is Taylor Ward nearing a trade, not Trout. However, wilder things have happened during the offseason before.
Much is riding on Angels' slugger Mike Trout's 2025 season
The 2024 season was an important one for Mike Trout and the Angels. It was their first year in a while without having Shohei Ohtani in their lineup after they lost him due to free agency.
It nearly could not have been a worse year for this club. Trout went down with two meniscus tears and that put a wrap on the season. They finished in last place in the American League West with a 63-99 record.
Now, Trout comes into the new season under a tremendous amount of pressure. Everybody will be watching him closely, waiting to see if he gets injured again or not.
Hopefully, the 11-time All-Star can put those doubters to bed and remain in the lineup during the 2025 season. He is too elite of a player to have his career shrouded by injuries.
