Jesse Winker's two-run triple set the pace for the Mets' offense. From the pitching end, Severino was not up to the mark after surrendering four runs. However, the bullpen came in strong and restricted their opponent from scoring.
Jackson Chourio played a crucial role for his team with an RBI single and a leaping catch. However, it was not enough to help Milwaukee win. The Mets had a strong and dominating performance as they took out their opponent with ease in Game 1 of the NL Wild Card round.

The Mets are just one win away from taking on the Philadelphia Phillies in the NLDS. Despite having their home-field advantage, Milwaukee was unable to defeat their opponent. Hard-throwing Sean Manaea will start in Game 2 for the Mets. Manaea has a strong 3.47 ERA with a 12-6 regular season record.
Pat Murphy is yet to announce the starting pitcher against the Mets in Game 2. The Mets have a strong edge and an easy opportunity to win this series.
