On Tuesday, the best baseball players in the world will compete in the MLB All-Star Game. The 94th annual edition will have some of the most scintillating matchups in baseball play out before our eyes.
Today, we will be running through both the NL and the AL's starting lineups for the MLB All-Star Game. The first pitch from Arlington, Texas, is expected to take place slightly after 8 p.m. ET.
Starting Lineups for the 2024 MLB All-Star Game
National League
C: William Contreras, Milwaukee
Milwaukee Brewers catcher Willson Contreras earned his second career MLB All-Star Game on account of a strong early-season performance. Through 93 games, Contreras has hit .286/.352/.440 with 11 home runs and 55 RBIs. He will become the first Venezuelan to start an All-Star Game since Sal Perez in 2015.

1B: Bryce Harper, Philadelphia
Despite spending some time on the IL this season, Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper has found time to shine. Now in his eighth time as an MLB All-Star, Harper .982 OPS leads his team this season, and the 31-year-old is entering the All-Star Game with 21 home runs, enough to equate his figure from last season.
2B: Ketel Marte, Arizona
The sole representative for his team at the All-Star Game, D-Backs second baseman Ketel Marte, has hit .333 with two home runs and eight RBIs in the two weeks preceding the break. Fresh off a five-year, $76 million deal in Arizona, Marte has already outdone his stats from last season, which was considered a breakout year.
3B: Alec Bohm, Philadelphia
Yet another member of the Phillies infield to make it to the MLB All-Star week, third baseman Alec Bohm, will be soaking in his first All-Star Game. An unsuccessful participant in Monday's Home Run Derby, Bohm has hit 11 home runs and 70 RBIs and leads the league in doubles with 33.

SS: Trea Turner, Philadelphia
Heading into the All-Star break, Phillies shortstop Trea Turner is his team's hottest hitter. Over the past fortnight, the Florida-native has logged a slashline of .417/.451/.917 with eight home runs and 18 RBIs. Since he returned from the IL on June 17, Turner has been one of the league's top bats.
LF: Christian Yelich, Milwaukee
Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich will be taking to the field in an MLB All-Star Game for the first time since 2019. A former NL MVP winner, Yelich has played a huge role in his team's 55-42 record this season. Since June 15, the 32 year-old has hit .313/.416/.542 with 5 home runs and 11 RBIs.
CF: Jurickson Profar, San Diego
One of the more unlikely candidates to garner a starting role is Jurickson Profar of the San Diego Padres. His first career All-Star appearance since making his MLB debut in 2012, the Curacao-born Profar is the only Friar starting Tuesday's game. On the season, Profar is hitting .305/.397/.476, appearing in all but two of his team's contests this year.

RF: Teoscar Hernandez, LA Dodgers
After walking away with the title in Monday's Home Run Derby, Los Angeles Dodgers star Teoscar Hernandez will take his place in right field. The Dominican's 19 home runs on the year place him on track to surpass his career record of 32 that he hit with the Jays in 2021. A two-time Silver Slugger, watch out for Hernandez to make a splash at Globe Life Park once again.
DH: Shohei Ohtani, LA Dodgers
Shohei Ohtani will be slotted into the DH position by NL manager Torey Lovullo. His fourth All-Star appearance since breaking into the MLB in 2018, Ohtani is on familiar ground. The 30 year-old brings a 5.4 WAR into the All-Star break, enough to lead the league.
P: Paul Skenes, Pittsburgh
The first rookie pitcher to start an MLB All-Star Game since Hideo Nomo in 1995, Paul Skenes has put up an unbelievable season. Since making his debut in May, the 22-year-old Pirate has a 6-0 record to accompany his 1.90 ERA. Fittingly, one of Skenes' best starts came in the form of a seven-inning, eleven-strikeout blanking of the Brewers on July 11.

C: Adley Rutschman, Baltimore
The former Rookie of the Year and Baltimore Orioles catcher will serve as the starting backstop for the AL for the second straight year. Rutschman, a first overall pick in 2019, is set to shatter his previous career highs this season. However, with his team all but certain to make a postseason push, do not expect the 26-year-old to risk injury on Tuesday.

1B: Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Toronto
The winner of last year's Home Run Derby, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. of the Toronto Blue Jays, is back in the AL uniform for the fourth time in his career. A former AL home run leader, Guerrero has hit .300/.314/.590 with seven home runs and 25 RBIs in the month leading up to the All-Star break.
2B: Marcus Semien, Texas
Since 2021, Marcus Semien has only missed three scheduled games. Regarded as a perfect mix of flexibility and power, the two-time Silver Slugger leads the Rangers in both runs scored and RBIs, with 61 and 51, respectively. Semien will be the only representative from the hometown Texas Rangers, who won the World Series last year.
3B: Jose Ramirez, Cleveland
Veteran third baseman Jose Ramirez is back in an All-Star jersey for the sixth time. Now 31, the Dominican has shown no signs of a reduced ability to slug. In addition to his 23 home runs leading the Cleveland Guardians' roster, Ramirez's .518 slugging percentage also leads his club.
SS: Gunnar Henderson, Baltimore
Reigning AL Rookie of the Year Gunnar Henderson is making his first career start as an MLB All-Star. Considered one of the league's top rising stars, Henderson currently leads the MLB in runs, with 78 of them scored. Moreover, the 23-year-old is hitting .286/.373/.518 with six home runs coming over the past month.

LF: Steven Kwan, Cleveland
Steven Kwan comes into the All-Star weekend with a batting average of .352, which leads the MLB by some thirty points. Amid a breakout season that few expected, the 26-year-old outfielder's OPS of .920 is also nearly 200 points higher than his previous career high. Watch out for the Cleveland Guardians youngster to make a serious splash in this affair.
CF: Aaron Judge, New York Yankees
Coming into Tuesday's All-Star Game, Aaron Judge's bat has reigned supreme. The New York Yankees captain now has an OPS of 1.112 to complement his 34 home runs, both of which lead the MLB. Set to make his sixth career All-Star appearance, it is hard to imagine Judge not making a notable contribution for the AL.
RF: Juan Soto, New York Yankees
Since arriving to the Yankees in December, it has been a love affair between Juan Soto and the team's fanbase. In addition to leading MLB in walks for the fourth time in his career, Soto's .984 OPS is second only to Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani.

DH: Yordan Alvarez, Houston
Designated hitter for the AL will be Houston Astros slugger Yordan Alvarez. A .319 hitter with five home runs and 15 RBIs in his past 20 games, Alvarez will be playing on familiar ground. The Cuban went 13 for 32 with two home runs and nine RBIs against the Rangers in last year's ALCS.
SP: Corbin Burnes
2021 NL Cy Young winner Corbin Burnes will make the start for the American League. In nineteen starts this season, the Orioles pitcher is 9-4 with a 2.43 ERA. A former MLB strikeout and ERA leader, Burnes will give his team a solid chance to emerge victorious.
