MLB Analyst believes Los Angeles Dodgers are the best run franchise in the entire league

Speaking on a recent episode of "Foul Territory", MLB Analyst Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic said that he believes the Los Angeles Dodgers are the best-run franchise in the entire league. The Dodgers ended their season with a loss in the NLDS against the Arizona Diamondbacks and have only won one World Series in the last three decades. Nonetheless, Rosenthal believes they have been very good under manager Dave Roberts and are the only franchise capable of putting out a competitive team every year.

Dave Roberts is a former MLB player who started his career as a manager in 2015 with the San Diego Padres, before joining the Los Angeles Dodgers the following year. In the eight years that he's been in charge of the team, they have won their division seven times and gone on to win the World Series in the shortened 2020 season. Yes, they have money to spend, but there is no doubt that they have spent it well and consistently been one of the best teams in the entire country.

The LA Dodgers are currently owned by the Guggenheim Baseball Management, which comprises a group of businessmen who own shares in the team. In the past few years, the team has been in the playoffs virtually every year, they have one of the best farm systems in the country and they have made good use of the big-money players in their roster. Hence, Rosenthal believes that they have set the standard of how a franchise in the MLB should be run, which other teams can look to emulate:

"They are right now the landmark franchise, the model franchise."

While sharing his views about the best-run MLB team in the country, The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal picked the Los Angeles Dodgers as the one that sets the standard. He believes the Dodgers have been the consistent franchise over the past few decades. Rosenthal also went on the say that they are a team that Steve Cohen's New York Mets are trying to emulate in their aspirations to rub shoulders with the big boys in the MLB.
