Team Mexico's performances at the World Baseball Classic have caught everyone's eye as fans and media personalities have praised their efforts as they qualified out of Pool C as the top team. MLB analyst Jon Morosi felt this was the most complete Mexican roster represented at the event.

Mexico completed their Group Stage campaign as table toppers with a 3-1 record. After their 10th innings loss to Colombia on opening day, Mexico shocked the world as they defeated a star-studded Team USA. Two more solid wins against Team Canada and Team Great Britain meant they will now face Puerto Rico in a quarterfinal.

A lot of attention has been on Mexico throughout their Group Stage campaign. Baseball analysts have given Mexico a fair shot at winning it all. Speaking to MLB Network, Jon Morosi commented on the depth of the team and the absoluteness of their roster:

"It really is in many ways the most extraordinary run that Mexico has ever had in the World Baseball Classic. This is the most complete roster I have ever seen Mexico take into a World Baseball Classic. You see their options as good as any team left in the tournament I believe.
"I'll even put this group against what Japan can have in the remaining games. That is what how deep Team Mexico's pitching is right now and their lineup is so balanced as well."

Jon Morosi feels that support for Team Mexico will not be completely outnumbered in Florida

Mexico's performances have so far been motivated by the boystrous crowd support they have received from the traveling fans who have made it to Arizona. The Mexicans will now have to relocate their base as they move to Florida to play the knockout rounds. Morosi opined that Mexican fans will keep up the same level of excitement at the LoanDeport Park in Miami:

"They have found a way to win a third game which they haven't done in more than a decade in the World Baseball Classic. Now they actually have to play a game in South Florida for the first time ever.
"So, a different venue for Team Mexico. They'll then face Team Puerto Rico. Probably we'll see an abundance of Puerto Rican fans at the game tomorrow night but I am pretty sure the Mexican fans will be there as well."

This is the first time that Team Mexico has been able to make it past the first rounds since 2009. If they win their quarterfinal against Puerto Rico, it will ensure the best result for them in the tournament's history.
