MLB Analysts are not satisfied with the New York Yankees' decision to change Aaron Judge's outfield position to left field to incorporate Giancarlo Stanton in that role. It was Judge himself who volunteered to make the changes so that Stanton could play more as a defensive player than in his designated hitter position.

Aaron Judge has been with the Yankees for the past six years. Having been named captain, he must feel there are certain responsibilities he needs to take on and certain decisions he needs to make for the betterment of the team. Judge has been instrumental in resurrecting the Yankees to their former glory as a World Series-winning team.

However, it is quite natural that the decision to change the 2022 AL MVP's go-to position will turn a few heads. On the New York Post's analysis show, analyst John Harper outright stated that he didn't like the decision to change Judge's position ahead of the regular season.

"I don't like it. Why are you messing with Judge? He is the MVP. He is a great right fielder. He does everything for this team and now you going to move him. I am sure he can handle it, he is a great athlete by why would you mess with him. I mean it's not going to kill them to put Stanton in left field a few times on a home stand or whatever. He's not going to play that much left field, I just wouldn't mess with Judge." Harper said.

MLB Analyst Todd Zelie feels differently about Aaron Judge playing left field

On the same show, analyst Todd Zelie disagreed with Harper, saying that playing Stanton regularly in an outfield position is definitely going to help his involvement in the game. He further reckoned that since Aaron Judge is a natural athlete, he can easily adapt to the changes.

"See this where I disagree only in the sense that Stanton is saying he feels more in the rhythym of the game, he is going to produce more offensively if he is in the outfield and I think he is going to be better off in right field than left field.... and Judge is a phenomenal athlete. He is not playing for a contract so he shouldn't care where he plays, so he is going to be fine." Zelie stated

It has to be mentioned that Aaron Judge stayed on with the Yankees even after receiving similar, if not better, offers from other teams because he felt this was the team that could win him championships. Hence, the Yankees captain will be flexible to accommodate any changes that help the team.
