Roger Clemens was seen at the Philadelphia Phillies' Spring Training camp on Tuesday morning. This can be attributed to Kody Clemens, his son, playing at first base for the Phillies against the Blue Jays.

Fans were quick on it and expressed their opinions.

Roger Clemens has been a legend of the sport, an 11x All-Star and seven-time Cy Young Awardee. Arguably one of the best pitchers of all time, he was a legend for the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees, winning two World Series with the latter. He also won the AL MVP title in 1986.

However, his career was derailed when his name was caught up in a list of players who used steroids or performance enhaching drugs during the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Kody Clemens is also a professional baseball player. After graduating from college, he joined the Detroit Tigers system. He was promoted to the big leagues in 2022. He was traded to the Phillies this year in a deal that also included pitcher Gregory Soto, too, for outfielder Matt Vierling, infielder Nick Maton, and catcher Donny Sands.

Clemens was thus seen at the Phillies training ground. Fans gave their reactions to the incident with mostly mixed reviews as Roger's overall image has dipped since his cheating scandal. Fans obviously talked about steroids, pinpointing it out whereas some made fun of his role as a pitcher.

Others made quirky comments about the steroid use. One fan commented that the Phillies players shouldn't be taking all of his advice.

Another fan made a quirky comment about Clemens 'misremembering' his own appearance. This was in reference back to the time when Clemens had told the media that Andy Pettite, the player who named him to be using PEDs and steroids, mistakenly remembered him as one of the suspects.

Others also stated similar things related to his steroid use, however, there was one positive commenter who accepted that Clemens was a solid pitcher regardless of the roids.

When Roger Clemens spoke out about being in the Hall of Fame

Due to a troubled end to his career, Roger Clemens was never included in the Baseball Hall of Fame. He fell short of the 75% margin everytime, and recently enough, he also failed to make it via the Veterans' Committee vote. However, he had earlier said that he couldn't care less about the HOF:

“You think that I played my career because I’m worried about the damn Hall of Fame? I could give a rat’s a** about that also. If you have a vote and it’s because of this, you keep your vote. I don’t need the Hall of Fame to justify that I put my butt on the line and I worked my tail off.”

Roger Clemens had a fiery persona both on and off the pitch. However, he would probably be giving out different advice for the NLCS winners from last year as they look to go one better this year.
