Even though the second half of the MLB regular season has just started, there have been a number of injury updates from across the league. Although there are a few notable injury updates regarding players who will miss time, there are several updates regarding players working their way back to their respective lineups.
MLB Injury Updates for July 22
Kodai Senga

According to New York Mets manager Carlos Mendoza, injured ace Kodai Senga is on track to return to the team's rotation this coming Friday. If Senga is able to avoid any setbacks this week, the Japanese star will make his 2024 debut on Friday against the Atlanta Braves. Senga has yet to pitch this year after sustaining a strained posterior capsule in his right shoulder.
Ozzie Albies
Speaking of the Atlanta Braves, the team announced that superstar infielder Ozzie Albies is expected to miss roughly eight weeks of action after fracturing his left wrist. It's a brutal injury update for the veteran, as the team has relied on him to step up in the wake of the season-ending injury to Ronald Acuna Jr.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto
Another Japanese pitcher who is looking to return to the rotation this season is Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The Los Angeles Dodgers star has been out of action since June 13 after sustaining a strained right rotator cuff, however, the 25-year-old is eyeing a return before the end of the year. The team remains optimistic that he could be back by the beginning of September.
Jon Berti
According to MLB insider Bryan Hoch, New York Yankees infielder Jon Berti is set to receive a PRP injection in his left calf. Berti has been out of action since the end of May, and while he is not expected to be shut down, things have reportedly been progressing slower than originally expected.

Miguel Rojas
The second Los Angeles Dodgers player to appear on this injury updates list, Miguel Rojas was forced to exit Sunday's game with apparent forearm tightness. While Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that the decision to remove Rojas from the team's matchup against the Boston Red Sox was precautionary, there is a chance that he will miss a few games.
