With the Wild Card rounds of the 2024 MLB Playoffs now completed, four teams in the National League remain. As the betting markets show, the competition has just become more intense as the remaining clubs set a higher standard.
After besting the Brewers in three games, the Mets will prepare for a clash with the Phillies, who owned MLB's best record this season, in the NLDS. Meanwhile, the Padres are ready for a west coast showdown with Ohtani and the Dodgers.
Today, we will be profiling the odds of winning the World Series for the NL teams who remain in contention.

NL World Series Odds - 2024 MLB Postseason
New York Mets
World Series Odds: +425
The Mets made the postseason on the 163rd day of the season, and showed tremendous resilience in besting the Milwaukee Brewers in three games.
"THE POLAR BEAR!!!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING RIGHT NOW????" - x - New York Mets
Now, the challenge for New York will be the Phillies, whose 95 wins were second in MLB this season. Unfortunately for New York, their three top hitters - Pete Alonso, Brandon Nimmo, and Francisco Lindor - all have career averages below .250 against their divisional foes, and New York won six of 13 meetings with Philly this season.
San Diego Padres
World Series Odds: +295
The fact that the Padres' 35-18 record since August 1 means little, because the Dodgers' record in that time was the best in MLB. Now, the stage is set for San Diego to settle the score against LA in the NLDS.
Pitching remains a weak point for the San Diego Padres. Now without starter Joe Musgrove, the club ranked 12th in ERA during the regular season, while the Dodgers hit for a high average against the club.
"FERNANDO TATIS JR. HITS THE FIRST HOME RUN OF THE 2024 #Postseason" - MLB
For Padres fans, hitting is an area of optimism. Since returning from the IL in August, Fernando Tatis Jr. has been on fire. Jackson Merrill and Manny Machado also represent postseason assets for their club.
Philadelphia Phillies
World Series Odds: +220
As the best team in MLB for most of the series, the Phillies are ready. After losing the 2022 World Series to the Houston Astros and losing Game 7 of last year's NLCS against the D-Backs, many in Philly believe this is their team's time.
"Get ready to rock, Philly #RedOctober" - Philadelphia Phillies
The 784 runs scored by the Phillies in 2024 ranked 5th in MLB. This was due in large part to sluggers in their lineup like Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber, who were responsible for 68 of the team's 198 home runs. A team that knows the Mets well, the World Series is certainly a possibility for manager Rob Thomson's team.
Los Angeles Dodgers
World Series Odds: +175
From the outset of the season, many chose Shohei Ohtani's Los Angeles Dodgers to win it all. In addition to boasting one of the best players in history, Mookie Betts, Max Muncy, Teoscar Hernandez and Freddie Freeman are all tenets of a hitting core packed with All-Stars.
"Getting game-ready." - Los Angeles Dodgers
The one Achilles Heel for the club may be pitching. Clayton Kershaw, Tyler Glasnow and Gavin Stone are all out for the postseason. While Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Jack Flaherty are good to go, it appears as though lack of depth in the rotation may be the only thing standing between LA and their second title since 2020.
