What to watch for?
For the first time since leaving the NPB, Shohei Ohtani will play a regular-season baseball game in Japan, his home country. The same is true for Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who joined Ohtani on the Dodgers last year.
Additionally, while he may or may not pitch one of the games, Shota Imanaga of the Cubs will be back home. There is also a distinct possibility that Japanese superstar Roki Sasaki is on the field, too.
Sasaki posted to MLB and the Dodgers are the heavy favorites to land the 23-year-old phenom, so he would also make his homecoming albeit one just a few months removed from his last Japanese appearance.
