MLB Twitter reacts to Boston Red Sox being only undefeated team in Spring Training: "This is how we know Spring Training is meaningless"

While not much is expected of the Boston Red Sox this year, they are cruising in Spring Training. They are 7-0, the only undefeated team left. They are getting some solid play from their prospects.

Triston Casas, who is set to take the majority of the work at first base this year, is hitting .400 with two home runs. Jarren Duran is another player swinging a hot bat with three hits in six at-bats, two of which are doubles.

This is the kind of start Boston needed. The majority of the fan base has questioned the decisions the front office made over the winter. Many fans were ready to jump ship when they lost Xander Bogaerts in free agency.

While Boston fans may be impressed with their team in Spring Training, the rest of the league is not. They want to see the team do this in the regular season when games matter.

"This is how you know Spring Training is meaningless. Last place Red Sox," One fan tweeted.
"Hang the banner," said another fan.

Some think this is the only amount of success the Boston Red Sox will see this year. A lot of things will have to go right if they want to make the postseason this season.

Boston is going to be an interesting team to follow this season. With little expectation of performing well, this team could shock some around the league.

While undefeated, things are starting to pile up for the Boston Red Sox

Newly acquired Boston Red Sox third baseman Justin Turner took a pitch to the face in Monday's game against the Detroit Tigers. It was an ugly sight as he dropped to the dirt, clutching his head. He required 16 stitches, but there were no fractures, and his scan was clear.

Another player who is dealing with an injury is Connor Wong, who strained his hamstring. He appeared in 27 games last season, and many believe that this could be a big year for the catcher. We'll have to wait and see if he's ready for Opening Day.

Three other members of the team who have question marks on whether they'll be ready for Opening Day come from their pitching rotation. James Paxton, Brayan Bello, and Garrett Whitlock are all questionable to be ready when the season starts.

If they want to see any success this season, the Red Sox are going to have to get their team healthy.
