Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts uploaded a video on his Instagram stories on Wednesday outlining his plans to meet fans in Tokyo's branch of Mint, Japan's leading sports card retailer.

In the video, Betts turned up the style, wearing a specially customized Jordan co-ord set, which featured his initials right below the iconic "Jumpman" logo.

With Japanese icon Shohei Ohtani currently on the Dodgers' roster, it is perhaps not surprising that the Blues seem to be the most popular team amongst Japanese MLB fans.

Betts, who has often been one of Ohtani's most potent partners in crime this past season, also has plenty of fans in the far east.

Mookie Betts and wife Brianna visit UCLA Health to spread holiday cheer

The Los Angeles Dodgers shared a series of snaps on Instagram featuring Mookie Betts and his wife, Brianna, as the couple visited UCLA Health on December 16 to meet pediatric patients and spread holiday cheer.

"Mookie stopped by @uclahealth to visit patients and spread holiday cheer! He and his wife Brianna gifted pediatric patients Dodger merch and helped them pick out Christmas gifts at the center’s holiday boutique," the post was captioned.

On the field, it was yet again a season to remember for Mookie Betts in the famous Dodgers blue. Despite missing a chunk of the campaign after breaking his left hand in June, Betts finished the regular season with solid numbers - a .289 batting average along with 19 home runs and 75 RBIs. For his strong performances, the 32-year-old earned his eighth career All-Star cap and his seventh career Silver Slugger award.

The highlight of the season for Betts was the World Series win as the Dodgers beat the New York Yankees 4-1 in the Fall Classic. Mookie Betts lifted the Commissioner's Trophy for the third time in his career in 2024, having also been part of the Boston Red Sox team that went all the way in 2018 before winning it again in his first season in LA.
