Freddie Freeman and the Los Angeles Dodgers offense remain hot against the New York Yankees in the World Series. The All-Star first baseman received plaudits from Dodgers fans after his historic home run in Game 4 on Tuesday.
Freeman, who had three home runs leading up to Game 4, added another two-run home run at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday to give the Dodgers a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning.
Fans reacted to the Dodgers superstar being the hottest hitter in the Fall Classic this year, with one fan acknowledging his heroics with a hilarious take.
"My daughter is going to be so pissed when I name her Freddie Freeman."
"They should write poems about Freddie Freeman," wrote another fan.
A fan wondered about Freeman's ankle injury that has plagued him throughout the postseason.
"I'd love to know what Freeman is taking for his ankle because it sure as hell looks like he's not injured lmao."
"What Freddie Freeman has accomplished this week is one of the most incredible things I have ever seen in all my years of watching sports," wrote an amazed fan.
Freddie Freeman makes history with his Game 4 home run
The Yankees fans must hate the sight of Freddie Freeman by now as the Dodgers first baseman has been clutch in all four games of the Fall Classic.
Freeman became the first player in MLB history to hit a walk-off grand slam in the World Series and followed it up with another remarkable record on Tuesday.
Freeman broke the record for most consecutive home runs in World Series history, going deep in six consecutive games to break George Springer's mark. His six games include the four from this year's Fall Classic and his last two World Series contests with the Atlanta Braves in 2021.
He won the World Series with the Braves that year and is on the verge of adding another ring despite his team losing Game 4.
