Mets star shortstop Francisco Lindor is busy performing husband duty at home for wife Katia after he was snubbed from All-Star selection on July 7. Fans had expected the ace to earn the fifth All-Star nod of his big league career, but that didn't happen despite being one of the better offensive players this season.
While at home, enjoying time with his wife and kids, Lindor prepared a freshly brewed coffee for Katia with a distinctive design made of foam. Sharing the image on her Instagram story and showering praise on her husband, Katia wrote:
"Being home means my fav barista is back on duty."
The duo met on Instagram when Lindor liked one of the images uploaded by Katia before meeting three months later in Arizona. They welcomed their daughter, Kalina Zoe, on Nov. 4, 2020, and exchanged vows on Dec. 16, 2021, at the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, Florida.
The couple welcomed their second child, a daughter, Amapola Chloe, on June 17, 2023. By profession, Katia hosts a podcast, 'The Un-a-Parent', which she started in Aug. 2022, where she discusses parenthood and underlying facts and myths about parenting.
Meanwhile, Francisco Lindor is in his fourth season with the NY Mets but has never made the All-Star game as a Met despite producing decent offensive numbers. He's a four-time All-Star, but all those nods came while he was with the Cleveland Guardians.
This season, Francisco has batted with an average of .253, with 17 home runs, 52 RBIs and .784 OPS. Only one Met made it to the 2024 All-Stars, Pete Alonso, who also participated in the MLB Home Run Derby on Monday but was surprisingly knocked out in round 1.
Katia rallied behind a fan to make a case for Francisco Lindor's All-Star selection
Francisco Lindor's wife Joned a disappointed Mets fan after the ace shortstop was snubbed an All-Star nod on July 7. She reshared the fan's story on Instagram to make a case for Lindor's All-Star selection, captioning it:
"All Star him right now"
It's safe to say that Francisco Lindor will look to continue his good form at the plate after the All-Star break to keep making a case for his offensive might.
