Milwaukee Brewers southpaw Nestor Cortes Jr. and his wife Alondra Esteras Russy have been dating each other since November 2015. They hail from Cuba and while she settled in Miami, Florida with her family at a young age, Cortes too moved from Surgidero de Batabano, Cuba with his family, when he was a kid and relocated to Hialeah, Florida.
After dating for more than eight years the couple got married on Nov. 25, 2023. They have since lived alongside their family members in Florida as well as New York City where Cortes had been playing with the New York Yankees since 2021 till he recently got traded to the Milwaukee Brewers in December 2024.
Nestor Cortes Jr. and Alondra are now expecting the birth of their first child together and did a fun little gender reveal ceremony surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday. The couple shared a video from the joyous occasion on social media, with the caption:
"Baby Cortes Coming Soon 🩷🩵🙏🏼 "
In the video, the duo, complementing each other in all-white outfits, jumped with ecstasy after blue-colored smoke exploded in the background, signifying the couple will be having a baby boy sometime in the latter months of 2025.
Wives of Nestor Cortes Jr.'s former Yankees teammates, Carlos Rodon (Ashley Rodon), Michael King (Sheila King), Luis Severino (Rosmaly Severino) and Nick Ramirez (Tiffany Ramirez) reacted to the post, wishing the happy couple on having a baby boy soon.

Nestor Cortes Jr.'s wife Alondra penned heartfelt note for Brewers LHP on his 30th birthday
Alondra shared a string of images on Instagram of the southpaw on Dec. 10, 2024, and penned a heartfelt note as he celebrated his 30th birthday.
"The big 30, to the best, friend, caring husband, kind, unique, dedicated, competitive, humble, passionate and many more attributes this amazing person can have I just wish a happy birthday..."
Alondra voiced her cheers for Cortes throughout all his starts in 2024 with the Yankees and was often present at Yankee Stadium to showcase her support throughout the Bronx Bombers' postseason run which ended with a World Series loss to the LA Dodgers.
Now, the couple is looking toward fresh horizons following his trade to the Brewers and them gearing up to welcome their first child together in 2025.
