In preparation for the next MLB season to begin, the New York Mets bought an ad to air during the first quarter of the Super Bowl. The commercial will only be aired for people living in the New York Tri-State area.

The commercial is hilarious; it features various Mets players answering potential ticket buyers' questions. Some players in the commercial include Kodai Senga, Francisco Lindor, and Edwin Diaz.

Super Bowl ads are not cheap. Some ads are going for $7 million for 30 seconds of content. It's unclear how much the team paid for the ad spot, but it wasn't cheap. For someone like the team's owner, Steve Cohen, who has a payroll of about $370 million, money isn't much of an issue.

It appears the Mets are trying to build their brand with this commercial. They're often viewed as the little brother of the New York Yankees, who are the biggest brand in all of baseball.

"I love it!" one fan tweeted.
"Our owner made 3 billions dollars this year from his hedge fund. Cohen just spending money for the fun of it," another fan explained.

Some New York Mets fans are asking teams and players to start making more commercials again; they're always entertaining. Many can recall enjoying the old SportsCenter commercials where they would feature athletes.

This commercial has fans pumped up for the new season, and why wouldn't they be? They had an incredible haul this winter and look like a true contender. However, they won't have it so easily. They play in the National League East, one of the toughest divisions in baseball.

Do the New York Mets have enough talent to beat out the Philadelphia Phillies?

The Mets made a ton of moves this offseason, but so did other teams in their division. The Philadelphia Phillies signed Trea Turner, who is regarded as one of the best shortstops in the league. The two sides agreed to an 11-year, $300 million deal.

That wasn't the only move they made this winter. Philadelphia also bolstered its pitching staff. They signed Taijuan Walker, as well as relievers Matt Strahm, Craig Kimbrel, and Gregory Soto.

The National League East is going to be a competitive division this season. It wouldn't be a surprise if the division winners were decided on the last day of the regular season.
