Things are quickly spiraling out of control for the New York Yankees. The team recently learned they would be without Carlos Rodon for the start of the season. Rodon underwent an MRI showing a mild strain on the left brachioradialis, which he underwent with the San Francisco Giants.

Now, the team has learned they might be without Harrison Bader to start the season as well. Bader felt something in his oblique, which resulted in him getting some tests done.

Losing Bader for any amount of time isn't ideal for the Yankees. He was one of the only players to perform in the postseason for the team last year. His presence also takes the pressure off Aaron Judge playing centerfield all year, something the front office doesn't want to do again this season. They want him focused on hitting.

Hopefully, this is just something minor. The Yankees will need him in the lineup if they want a shot at repeating as American League East champions.

"Death, taxes, Yankees on the IL" one fan tweeted.
"Is anyone left on the team?" another fan asked.

This isn't how New York Yankees fans envisioned their season starting. It's getting to the point where some fans just aren't excited about the season anymore.

Fans feel like the team is cursed. If the injuries keep up at this rate, they won't have a team to take the field.

The New York Yankees need to get healthy and stay healthy

The New York Yankees have a roster to go deep this season. they just need to get healthy first.

Aside from Carlos Rodon and Harrison Bader, Frankie Montas is injured as well. He said he was injured before the Yankees acquired him at last year's trade deadline from the Oakland A's. He recently had surgery on his rotator cuff on Feb. 21.

Losing Montas for an extended period of time is tough, but they should be able to manage as long as Rodon's injury is minor. Gerrit Cole, Nestor Cortes, Luis Severino, Domingo German and Clarke Schmidt all have the ability to give the team quality starts.

Yankees fans are hoping these injury scares simmer down soon. They have huge expectations for the team this year after re-signing Aaron Judge. They're ready to see their team return to their winning ways and raise a World Series trophy again.
