New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter recently set the record straight on his TikTok-joining speculations.
In a mini-interview with The Players' Tribune, the Hall of Famer opened up about his unwillingness to join the popular short-form video hosting platform.
The interview took place while Jeter was golfing at Baha Mar’s Jack Nicklaus signature design Royal Blue Golf Course during the 2023 Derek Jeter Invitational Gala.

Here's how the conversation rolled:
Interviewer: "You shock a lot of people when you join social media?"
Jeter: "I shocked myself."
Interviewer: "How'd you do it? Peer pressure?
Jeter: Yeah. I try not to give into peer pressure throughout my career, but peer pressure got me there.
Interviewer: Will we ever see you on TikTok?
Jeter: I can't say never because I said never about social media to begin with, but I highly doubt it. I'm not interesting enough.
Next, when the official Twitter handle of The Players' Tribune posted the clip of the interview on their page, Jeter quote-tweeted and wrote:
"Good try… but no chance."
In June 2022, Jeter debuted on Instagram and Twitter, shocking the MLB world. Fans were over the moon after the news hit the press.
After a year, the former Yankees shortstop has 406.8K followers on Twitter and 526K followers on Instagram.
