The Royals sent Michael Wacha to the mound as their starter. Wacha had a bit of a hiccup in the first inning as Juan Soto drove in Gleyber Torres to take an early 1-0 lead in the first. Cole's pitching prowess was exceptional as he leaned toward his fastball.
Torres recorded an RBI single in the bottom of the fifth inning to give them a 2-0 lead. Aaron Judge finally got a base hit while Stanton drove him home to extend a 3-0 lead.
During the top of the sixth inning, Kauffman Stadium saw the benches clear after an incredible double play by Anthony Volpe and Jon Berti. Maikel Garcia seemed unhappy with Volpe's tag, and things got heated up between both rivals. The Royals drove in a single as they recorded a 3-1 final score.
Cole pitched seven innings and delivered an excellent performance for the Yanks. Cole surrendered only one run and recorded four strikeouts, giving up six hits. The bullpen did a fine job to keep the Royals in check as they failed to score more than one run.

Both teams failed to hit home runs, but the Yanks won three of their four games in this series. Sadly for the Royals, their baseball season has come to an end. The Bronx Bombers will either play the Detroit Tigers or the Cleveland Guardians in the ALCS Round.
Game 1 of the ALCS will take place on Monday. Aaron Boone is expected to reveal the starting pitcher over the weekend. Cole was the key to their success, while Judge, Stanton, Volpe, Soto, and Torres had a strong outing from the plate.
Bobby Witt Jr. had an excellent season for the Royals, but unfortunately, it had come to an end. The Yankees are only four wins away from reaching the World Series.
