Dodgers’ Freddie Freeman opens up about injury that sidelined him during the playoffs
Freddie Freeman missed three games in the National League Championship Series due to an injury to his right ankle. Freeman hadn’t even had an extra-base hit in the postseason until Friday.

Later in the game, he hit a 409-foot homer with the bases loaded, leading his team to a 6-3 victory. After the game, he opened up about his injury, saying (via The Guardian):
“Actually felt pretty good. The last six days we treated it really well. I’ve been feeling pretty good. Right when I ran out to give high-fives to my teammates, I felt pretty good, because that was the first time I ran all week. So, ankle’s good.”
The Dodgers are now up 2-0 in the 2024 World Series and are set to face the Yankees again on Monday in Game 3 of their series.
