Nolan Arenado has been among the players most often mentioned in trade rumors all offseason. The St. Louis Cardinals have entered a soft rebuilding phase, moving on from several of their aging veterans, which is why Arenado has been included in trade speculation all offseason.

Even though Arenado may be getting older, the star is still an effective player at the MLB level. That being said, a trade of the eight-time All-Star is a bit complicated, not only because of the salary remaining on his contract but also because he has a full no-trade clause. Arenado would need to approve any trade before it can go through.

Despite all the trade rumors and chatter, Arenado has been keeping himself busy and in shape. The St. Louis star has been putting in the work, sharing footage of his time in the batting cage. His latest post on social media featured a handy delivery robot that caught the eye of Dallas Mavericks star Klay Thompson.

Even though Arenado posted about his workouts alongside former five-time All-Star Troy Tulowitzki on social media, the Avride Uber Eats delivery robot caught Thompson's eye. The four-time NBA champion commented with a fun Star Wars-related response, comparing the robot to one of the beloved droids from the film series.

"What in the R2-D2?" Thompson commented.

Despite being two superstars in their respective sports, Thompson and Arenado have been close to one another since Arenado played ball with Klay's brother, Trayce. The pair have entered the wine industry together, creating Diamond & Key.

Nolan Arenado has been linked to several clubs but may need to wait on Alex Bregman

One of the biggest names remaining in free agency is Alex Bregman, who has been the target of many clubs this offseason, most of which have at least been linked to Nolan Arenado at one point. According to MLB insider Katie Woo, there is a belief around the league that an Arenado trade will not occur until Bregman signs with a club.

Some teams linked to Bregman are also considered potential landing spots for Arenado. The Cardinals infielder reportedly has six different teams that he would be willing to waive his no-trade clause, with the Boston Red Sox being one of them. Finding themselves out of the Bregman sweepstakes could open the door for an Arenado trade.
