Los Angeles Dodgers' injury troubles have been well documented but the NL West leaders were dealt a body blow after news of Tyler Glasnow's season-ending injury emerged last week.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts announced on Saturday that the Dodgers ace is "highly unlikely" to pitch again this season after an apparent elbow issue. Following Roberts' remarks, Glasnow cleared his locker at Truist Park amidst the team's four-game series against the Atlanta Braves.
While Roberts was clueless about his ace's whereabouts after his sudden decision, MLB insider Juan Toribo shed light on the potential thought process behind Glasnow's frustration.

"People need to understand that he is someone who has had elbow issues his whole career. He thought he was looking over all those issues so he is disappointed. That's the human nature part of it and none of us liked the fact that he disappeared and didn't want to talk about it. But at the same time, he is really disappointed because he thought he got over it (elbow issues).
Tyler Glasnow is no stranger to elbow struggles as the former Tampa Bay Rays starter made only 21 starts in 2022 following a Tommy John surgery the previous year.
Dodgers' rotation shorthanded after Tyler Glasnow's injury
While Glasnow returned to his former self last season his first year of the $136.5 million deal with Dodgers has seemingly ended in heartbreak. Like Toribo mentioned above, Glasnow looked to have found a way over his past struggles after making a career-high 22 starts for the Dodgers this season.
“I mean, given the amount of innings and the amount of injuries the previous years, I think, to say that is probably fair,” Glasnow said after the extension of being criticized for not being able to stay healthy. “I think that, for me, the majority of the innings that I’ve missed had been related to the same (elbow) injury.”
The Dodgers rotation has been plagued by several injuries this year and it has only just got back another new signing, Yoshinobu Yamamoto after missing nearly three months of action. The Japanese ace started for the Dodgers in the series finale on Monday and pitched four innings in a shut out 9-0 win.
