Los Angeles Dodgers Sluggers Teoscar Hernandez, Miguel Rojas, and Mookie Betts

After adding guys such as Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Teoscar Hernandez, and more, it looked like it was the Los Angeles Dodgers season to lose. From pitching to the star-studded lineup, the team was loaded.

However, things started to take a turn as injuries piled up. They were without their top arms like Clayton Kershaw, Tyler Glasnow, Yamamoto, and more. They also lost Freddie Freeman and Mookie Betts for a stretch.

It is hard for a team to be at the top of their game while dealing with things like this. The team was starting to look down on themselves until an internal meeting took place in Atlanta following a game against the Braves. Hernandez said:

"One meeting changed everything, and we realized that we have the potential, that we have the players, that we are still the Dodgers, and we can still do special things with the people we have healthy throughout the year."

The meeting reassured many of the players that the team still had the talent level to go the distance. Even with the injuries they faced throughout the regular season, their roster still had more talent than most. Hernandez added:

"It was just a meeting to put everybody's head up again and just keep pushing until we win everything."

The meeting must have worked as the Dodgers won their division and have not had too much of a problem in the postseason. They are just one game away from heading back to the World Series.

Teoscar Hernandez already has a World Series ring. He won one when he was a part of the Houston Astros organization, but was not a part of the team when they won the World Series.

However, Hernandez wants to be part of the whole story. He wants to earn his ring while playing in the biggest series of the entire season.

Luckily for him, his club has a good chance. They are up 3-1 in their NLCS series against the New York Mets. All they need to do is win one more game to reach the World Series for the first time since the 2020 season.

There were tons of expectations for this team coming into the season. Now, it is time for them to close it out.
