Not much is known about how and when Luis Arraez and Gladys Penalver first met each other and began dating. However, reports say Penalver also hails from Venezuela, just like her husband, and the couple were reportedly in a long-term relationship before tying the knot back in 2016.

Luis Arraez and Gladys Penalver have three daughters, Esther, Emma and Esthela. In addition to being a baseball wife and full-time mom, Penalver is a model and popular social media personality, with over 52,000 followers on Instagram. Luis Arraez and wife Gladys Penalver enjoy romantic offseason trip to Paris

On Jan. 17 on Instagram, Gladys Penalver, the wife of three-time All-Star Luis Arraez, posted a series of snaps featuring her husband, as the couple made the most of the offseason, jetting off for a trip to Paris.

The trip undoubtedly presented Arraez with some much-needed and well-deserved time to rest and relax after another successful baseball season. For the 2024 regular season, Arraez finished with a .314 batting average, four home runs and 46 RBIs.

Yet again, the Venezuelan set the pace in batting average in his league, winning his third career batting champion award for finishing with the best batting average of any batter in the NL. Even Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani, who won pretty much everything else on both an individual and team level, was unable to best Arraez in this department.

Displaying an uncanny ability to find gaps in the field in important games, Arraez was a key member of the San Diego Padres side that finished top of the NL wildcard, securing qualification to the postseason.

Though Arraez and the Padres were confident heading into the playoffs, the Los Angeles Dodgers again played spoilsport, eliminating the Friars in the NLDS before winning the World Series for the eighth time in franchise history. The Padres, on the other hand, still await their first.
