"Stop making yourself easily available for people who never prioritize you."

After his failed relationship with singer Jenifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez has been open about the joys of being with Cordeiro, saying that she changes his life for the better.

Looking at Alex Rodriguez’s Hall of Fame chances

January is an exciting month for baseball fans as Hall of Fame voting is announced. This year, Rodriguez will be on the ballot for the fourth time. However, his chances of enshrinement don’t seem to be trending in the right direction.

According to CBS Sports, Alex Rodriguez has not fared better than 35.7% of the voting for the Hall of Fame. Despite having legendary numbers, including 3,115 hits, 696 home runs, and 2,086 RBIs, in addition to being a .295 lifetime hitter, Rodriguez is unlikely to get elected, at least this season.

The main sticking point has been Alex Rodriguez’s use of PEDs. The allegations go as far back as 2003. But as CBS Sports noted, Rodriguez was suspended for 211 games in 2013. That suspension hangs over Rodriguez’s head, making it hard to get into the Hall of Fame.

Other players like Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire, Roger Clemens, and Barry Bonds, among others, have similar all-time numbers but have failed to gain traction. The consensus is that players suspended or at least suspected of PED use will unlikely make it to the elite list.

The belief is that they may eventually gain enshrinement at some point down the road when a Veteran’s Committee takes up their case. However, that may take decades.

If former Cincinnati Reds' great Pete Rose is any indication, these players may pass away before gaining the recognition they seek in the Hall of Fame. In the meantime, Rodriguez continues to have a successful post-baseball career, among other entrepreneurial endeavors.
