Paul Skenes' girlfriend Olivia Dunne started in gymnastics at a very early age and therefore has memories with several of them who would go on to make big. Among them was Hezly Rivera, who announced her verbal commitment to join Dunne's LSU Tigers this fall.
Rivera, part of a five-member US women's gymnastics contingent including Simone Biles, Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, and Sunisa Lee, won a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics in the team event.
The 16-year-old has previously represented the US in the 2023 Antalya Junior World Championships, where she won two silver medals, one in the team event and the other in individual floor exercise.
Amid the buzz of an Olympic medalist joining LSU on Thursday, Olivia Dunne shared a throwback photo with Hezly Rivera on her social media. In the throwback photo, young Dunne and Rivera are captured in a locker room.
"Baby Tig," Dunne wrote in her story.
