Olivia Dunne and her pet Labrador, Roux, enjoyed seeing Paul Skenes' Pittsburgh Pirates clinch a narrow 4-3 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday. Dunne, who was in Pennsylvania to attend her boyfriend's start on Thursday, returned to Baton Rouge for Sunday's game. However, it seems her love for baseball has only grown since she started watching matchups that didn't feature the rookie sensation in action.
On Sunday, both Dunne and Roux were watching the game from the comfort of their home. She documented the experience of Roux getting happy after the Pirates' win. The duo went to sleep after enjoying the late-night contest.
"Roux's happy cause the Pirates won," she wrote in a snap on Snapchat.
The LSU star was at PNC Park on Thursday night to witness her boyfriend's dominant outing against the Reds. Skenes pitched six scoreless innings, allowing no hits and one walk while striking out nine hitters. The Pirates registered a 7-0 shutout win over Cincinnati.
Olivia Dunne strikes a hard bargain to purchase Paul Skenes' baseball cards
Last weekend, Olivia Dunne was at New York's Javits Center to participate in Fanatics Fest. She was involved in multiple activities, including imitating Paul Skenes' pitching and receiving the LSU Legacy Belt from WWE.
However, later in the event, she decided to go undercover to collect Skenes' signed baseball cards from Topps. She was surprised to know the prices of the cards, saying this shouldn't be priced so high since "he's just a pitcher."
The seller mentioned the prices of two Topps cards, with offered prices of $750 and $2400. After engaging in a bargain, she was able to take down the prices, finally settling for $2450 for the two cards. She followed it up with a handshake.
For Dunne, she's returning to LSU for her fifth and final year and helping the Lady Tigers defend their NCAA crown.
Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes have been dating since getting to know each other while studying at LSU. Before Skenes was picked first overall by the Pirates, he won the College World Series in 2023. Even Dunne earlier this year won an NCAA championship competing in gymnastics.
