Paul Skenes is a starting pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates and one of the best young players in Major League Baseball. Skenes is dating Louisiana State University gymnast, Olivia Dunne, as the two met when he was pitching for the Tigers.

Olivia Dunne has a huge following on social media and she often shares photos and videos of herself and Paul Skenes on Instagram. On Jan. 26, Dunne shared a quick video on her Instagram story of the couple taking a stroll in Central Park.

Paul Skenes and Olivia Dunne were bundled up on Sunday morning as they took in one of the top tourist attractions in New York City. The couple was in the city for the Baseball Writers' Association of American (BBWAA) Award Dinner, where Skenes received his National League Rookie of the Year Award.

The Pittsburgh Pirates selected Paul Skenes with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft. Pittsburgh fast-tracked the flamethrower to the majors, and he made his MLB debut on May 11, 2024, against the Chicago Cubs. Skenes finished the year with a record of 11-3 and a 1.96 earned run average.

Meanwhile, Olivia Dunne has been a frequent visitor at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, especially on days when Paul Skenes is on the mound. Skenes has reciprocated, supporting Dunne as she competes for LSU.

Paul Skenes Rookie Card Hits Auction Block; Olivia Dunne Turned Down

Topps recently released a 1/1 Paul Skenes rookie debut patch card, which included an autograph. The nationwide hunt for the card ended when an 11-year-old from California found it.

The Pittsburgh Pirates offered the young fan a massive prize package for the card, including season tickets for the next 30 years. Olivia Dunne also sweetened the pot by offering the opportunity to watch a Pittsburgh Pirates game in her suite at PNC Park.

It has been announced that the fan is going to send that card to auction, with proceeds going to benefit the wildfire relief efforts in Los Angeles. If Paul Skenes continues to pitch this well, there will be even more valuable cards in his future.
