Paul Skenes' girlfriend Olivia Dunne has been busy as her LSU gymnastics team is on the quest to defend its NCAA title this season. The super-senior is part of a solid core of gymnasts that includes Haleigh Bryant, Aleah Finnegan and rookie Kailin Chio.
As recently announced, the social media site TikTok was banned starting at midnight on Saturday. However, just 10 hours later, President Donald Trump signed an executive order to delay the permanent ban on the site. This prompted Skenes' girlfriend, who made a name for herself on the platform, to share her first video since the services of TikTok were resumed.
In the video, Dunne was visibly happy and smiled while doing a voiceover saying, "Hey, how are you all doing?" The snippet also contained a caption of "me opening TikTok out of habit, but it's actually working again."
The gymnast, who is also a well-known influencer and model, has eight million followers on TikTok, 5.3 million on Instagram and 2.28 million on Snapchat.
At the time of writing, President Trump has signed the order to stop the TikTok ban for 75 days. He suggested to the application's parent company, ByteDance, that the latter should yield 50% of its controlling stake to the U.S. government to continue operating in America. Trump also advised that future tariffs on Chinese products will hinge on whether the Chinese government approves the deal.
Olivia Dunne's LSU Tigers edge out Florida in third meet
During the LSU Tigers' third meet of the season on Friday, Olivia Dunne's squad edged out the seventh-seeded Florida Gators. With 13,515 fans packing the sold-out (first of the season and third-largest crowd ever recorded in LSU history) Pete Maravich Assembly Center, the Tigers overcame the Gators 197.550 to 197.450.
The Tigers trotted out Sierra Ballard, Olivia Dunne, Amari Drayton, Kailin Cho, Aleah Finnegan and anchor Haleigh Bryant. The fifth-year senior was solid in the second spot as she delivered a 9.875 on the floor.
The meet was a highly anticipated one as star gymnast Haleigh Bryant made her return on the mat after straining her UCL in December. Bryant had an almost perfect score when she finished with a 9.90 to claim the victory for the Tigers.
With its fourth win of the year, LSU maintained the second seed in the national rankings, just behind Oklahoma—the team that outdueled the Tigers at the Sprouts Collegiate Quad two weeks ago.
