Ever since Paul Skenes made his MLB debut for the Pittsburgh Pirates in May against the Chicago Cubs, he has hit another level of fame, earning recognition in the baseball fraternity as the next big thing in MLB.
Managing it all, Skenes has the best teacher to help him. After all, his girlfriend, Olivia Dunne has nailed it despite being just 21. Talking about her on MLB Network, Skenes said:
"It’s been great. She’s helped me in a lot of ways in terms of managing all the hype - how to manage everything that goes around being a pro athlete, [because] she’s kinda lived it."
Olivia Dunne's immense social media following has helped her crack many NIL deals, elevating her status as one of the top-earning college athletes. In the overall list of On3's NIL rankings, she only trails Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
Apart from being a social media star, Dunne is a college gymnast for the LSU Tigers and will return this fall for her fifth and final year. Her team won the NCAA championship in April and would like to repeat the feat in the upcoming season.
