Paul Skenes' girlfriend Olivia Dunne had a lot of support behind her during the LSU Tigers season opener against the Iowa State Cyclones on Friday night at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

Dunne made her Balanced Beam debut and also participated in the Floor Exercise, scores of which were counted in LSU's 197.3 total points, their second-highest score in the opener since 2010 and the first time since 2018, they have scored above 197.0. Meanwhile, Iowa State could only score 194.1, as they lost out against the defending champions.

Watching Dunne make her mark in her fifth and final season was his sister Julz Dunne, who arrived at the gymnasium with Cole Clark. Dunne's mother Katherine Dunne also posted a story watching her show moves on the balance beam. Olivia Dunne shared all their stories on her Instagram on Friday.

Olivia Dunne's team makes a head start in their attempt to retain the NCAA title

In July, Olivia Dunne announced that she would be using her fifth and final year to represent the Tigers who were fresh off from winning an NCAA, the program's first, in April.

Joining hands, with fellow returning seniors including Haleigh Bryant, Sierra Ballard, Chase Brock and Alyona Shchennikova, LSU has got a head start, thanks to a splendid performance from Aleah Finnegan who top scored for the Tigers in all four events.

Dunne also contributed to LSU’s overall victory. She competed on Balance Beam and Floor Exercise, earning average scores (two attempts each) of 9.825 and 9.875, respectively. Her performance on Floor Exercise was particularly strong, helping LSU achieve a high event score of 49.500, the team’s best across all four apparatuses.
