Carlos Rodon and the New York Yankees made it three consecutive wins as Aaron Judge registered his 49th home run of the season against the Colorado Rockies on Friday. Rodon's wife Ashley reacted to the captain's blast at Yankee Stadium.

Aaron Judge has been in ominous touch for the Yankees, with October baseball ending seeming ever so close for the AL East aspirants. Judge recorded his MLB-leading 49th home run of the campaign on Friday as the Yankees won 3-0 against the Rockies.

Ashley Rodon shared a clip of Judge's home run from the game, with Carlos Rodon's reaction to the captain's hit. She captioned the story:

Judge's 49th home run means the former AL MVP is on pace for 62 home runs this season, tying the American League record he had set during the 2022 season.

Ashley also put out a story for her husband, who compiled a dominant outing in his start against the Rockies in the series opener.

Carlos Rodon rebounds with strong performance to shut out the Rockies

Carlos Rodon found it tough against the Detroit Tigers last week, conceding four runs over seven hits in 3.1 innings. But the Yankees hurler rebounded with a dominant performance against the Rockies. He went scoreless in six innings, struck out five and conceded just four hits.

While his dominance helped the team shut out the Rockies in the series opener, Rodon was quick to praise his teammates and the Yankees bullpen for their impressive performance from the mound recently.

“I think we do feed off each other,” Rodon said. “You don’t want to be the guy that gives up the run.”

The Yankees starters, featuring ace Gerrit Cole, Nestor Cortes Jr and Carlos Rodon, are yet to concede a run in the last three games. Yankees manager Aaron Boone hailed the rotation for their resurgence after a dip at the start of the month.

“A lot of guys throwing the ball really well,” Boone said. “Ultimately, that’s what’s going to carry the day: You gotta pitch. I feel like we’re getting a lot of guys in good places and making real contributions, whether it’s starting the game or guys coming in out of the pen right now.”

The Yankees hold a 1.5-game lead over the Baltimore Orioles, courtesy of their latest win. They will look to make it back-to-back series wins in the second game of their series against the Rockies on Saturday.
