Alex Bregman and the Houston Astros have gotten off to a tough start in the 2024 MLB season, but while the team is 7-19, there is room for hope. The Astros haven't shown what they are capable of, but will be optimistic against the 7-19 Colorado Rockies.
On the home front, Bregman and his wife, Reagan, are parents to a one-year-old son, Knox. Regan took to social media to share an image of Knox in sushi pajamas, which she found to be particularly cute:
"It's the sushi pj's."
Reagan and Alex Bregman taught their son to catch groundballs
Before the 2024 MLB season began, Alex Bregman was enjoying spending time with his family, and he took to IG to share some clips of Knox catching groundballs. Bregman captioned the post:
"Got home from the field today and @reaganelizabeth taught Knox how to catch Groundballs."
It was a busy offseason for Bregman, as prior to Spring Training, he took part in Travis Scott's celebrity softball game at Minute Maid Park in Houston. Photos of the event made the rounds on IG, in which Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud took home the MVP award.
While the season hasn't gone to plan for Houston thus far, momentum could be key to changing their fortunes. Given that the team is clearly better than their results, they will be looking to hit the restart button against the Rockies on Saturday. After losing five games on the bounce, time is becoming a factor for Houston if they are to live up to their pre-season expectations.
Anything short of a playoff appearance would be seen as a letdown, and they need all of their stars to shine. One such star is Alex Bregman, who has not had the best 2024 season as of yet. Bregman is hitting at a .216 average and is yet to record a home run. Considering that he is in the final year of his contract, Bregman needs to find his form soon, or potentially see his market value fall.
