Now nearing 50, Alex Rodriguez lives a very different life than he did during his time in MLB. These days, the retired star enjoys working for his investment fund, working out and spending time with his girlfriend Jaclyn Cordeiro. The pair first met in 2022 and were drawn together by their common passion for fitness, wellbeing and personal improvement.
As per some pictures posted on A-Rod's Instagram account, the former New York Yankees star recently spent some time in Cordeiro's home province of Ontario, Canada. The pair appeared to be indulging in some low-key enjoyment in the sun, with one picture showing Cordeiro wearing olive swimwear and relaxing by the water.
Cordeiro, 44, hails from the city of Windsor in southwestern Ontario. A prominent voice on social media, Jaclyn Cordeiro is the founder of JacFit, a service that helps women identify, obtain and achieve their personal fitness goals.
From 2017 until 2021, Alex Rodriguez was in a relationship with world-famous singer Jennifer Lopez. Although J-Lo was very well-liked by A-Rod's two daughters, the pair eventually called off their relationship in 2021, about a year before he and Jaclyn Cordeiro began dating.
Alex Rodriguez married his first wife, Cynthia Scurtis, in 2002 while he was playing for the Texas Rangers. The pair had two daughters, Natasha and Ella, before divorcing in 2008. Although Cordeiro has two children of her own, she has often acted as a mother to Natasha and Ella and even went on a solo trip to visit Natasha at the University of Michigan.
Alex Rodriguez and Jaclyn Cordeiro share a lot in common
Now relatively removed from the limelight, there is not the same amount of frenzied media following A-Rod and his possible romantic interests. As one source close to the couple told PEOPLE earlier this year:
"She may be as strict about her own regimen as he is, Alex and Jaclyn are both fitness obsessed and into exercise and body building."
With the pair now nearing their fifties, they appear to have found someone with similar interests, values and goals.
