On Monday, New York Mets fans received Francisco Lindor's highly anticipated streetwear bobblehead at Citi Field ahead of the game against the Minnesota Twins. Before the giveaway, Lindor's wife, Katia, shared a first look at the shortstop's bobblehead on social media.
Lindor's bobblehead was wearing a blue jacket over a white inner t-shirt with maroon-toned pink pants. The bobblehead was in walking motion with a big smile on its face.
"Ya favorite player's bobblehead day," Katia wrote in her story.
In an interview with the New York Post in 2022, Francisco Lindor revealed that he and Katia first connected on Instagram.
"I messaged her on Instagram," he said. "Her picture popped up, and I was like, 'This girl is beautiful!' We talked for three months, and then I met her in Arizona 'cause I was out there for spring training.
"We just hung out and I was like, 'I think she's the one.' At first, I was a little bit like, 'Ahh, I don't want to really commit,' but I knew that she was the one."
The couple became parents to daughter, Kalina Joe, who was born on Nov. 4, 2020. A year later, in Dec. 2021, the pair tied the knot at the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, Florida. Last year, in June, they welcomed their second daughter, Amapola Chloe.
Francisco Lindor's family cheers for Mets shortstop during Subway Series
The Mets faced the New York Yankees in the last game of the Subway Series on Wednesday at Yankee Stadium. Francisco Lindor's famil were in attendance, where Lindor put a dominating show to help the Mets sweep the Yankees for the first time since 2003.
Lindor blasted two home runs, and every time he was on the batting deck, his two daughters got excited.
"My daughters, that was pretty cool," Lindor said in a post game presser.
"That was really, really cool to be able to see my wife and my daughters and interact with them in the game and just show love to my daughters and my wife. I do it every day, but when they're that close, it's pretty cool. I was happy to have my girls there."
Franciso Lindor has been the major reason for the Mets' turnaround this season. After a rough start to the season, the Metshave came back strongly and have also toppled the Atlanta Braves from second place in the division.
Meanwhile, Lindor has fronted his name in MVP conversation alongside Shohei Ohtani and Bryce Harper.
