Paul Skenes' girlfriend, Olivia Dunne, is getting ready to jet off to Paris for the 2024 Summer Games. Though not a participant, Dunne will likely be there to support US athletes, especially gymnasts such as Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles, among others.
On Friday, the LSU gymnast posted a photo of her from the airport with a passport in her hand and her caption suggesting she is going off to France to attend the 2024 Paris Olympics. She flaunted a light-toned outfit for the airport look.
Despite being a top-level collegiate gymnast, Dunne does not have any intention of competing at the Olympics. In an episode of the BFFs podcast in 2021, Dunne shared that an ankle injury she suffered during her teenage years led her to give up her Olympic dream. (Start at 52:56)

"That dream has died. I got hurt when I think I was about 15-16 years old, my bone had died in my ankle and it fractured, so I kind of realized this is not for me anymore," Dunne said.

In lieu of chasing the Olympic dream, Olivia Dunne has instead chosen to concentrate on collegiate gymnastics. Earlier this month, Dunne shared that she will be returning for her fifth and final year at LSU and helping her fellow Lady Tigers defend the crown. She posted an Instagram video to announce her decision.
“Dear LSU, these past four years have changed my life. There is something about putting on a purple and gold leotard. There's something about competing in front of 13,000 screaming tiger fans,” Dunne said in the video.
“There's something about being pushed by your coaches to be your very best. And there's something about being part of a team that made school history. And no matter how many opportunities come my way off the mat, there's just something about LSU. And that's why I'm here to say, I'm not done yet.”
Dunne is already getting started with her preparation for the next college season at the LSU gymnasium. She posted highlights from her training there, and in one of them, she could be seen practicing a back flip followed by a perfect landing.
"Summer fun!" she wrote in her story.
Olivia Dunne has had a great year so far. She won the much-awaited NCAA Championship in April, got featured in the iconic Sports Illustrated 60th anniversary Swimsuit issue, signed a partnership and an NIL deal with "Passes", celebrated Paul Skenes' debut at PNC Park, and made her red carpet debut at the MLB All-Star Game.
