Baseball phenom Shohei Ohtani and wife Mamiko Tanaka shared an image with their furry friend Decoy at the Midsummer Classic in Arlington, Texas on Tuesday night. Before heading for the MLB All-Star red carpet event, Ohtani and Tanaka clicked an image with their dog Decoy, who could be seen wearing a brown shirt.

Take a look at the image from Instagram here:

"Shotime" rocked a brown suit-pant combination with a white shirt, while Mamiko Tanaka wore a white gown dress. Ohtani's suit was specially designed, as it contained adorable images of Decoy on the inside, which Ohtani revealed during the event.

The Japanese two-way superstar even revealed that the reason he went with a brown suit was because of his dog's fur color. Decoy is a Dutch Kooikerhondje who has been with Ohtani for some years now, and it is safe to say that the Los Angeles Dodgers star loves his furry friend.

Notably, Decoy was with Ohtani when he won his 2023 AL MVP Award on MLB Network. The name is "Dekopin" in Japanese, which means a light flick on the forehead using your index finger.

Furthermore, the Dodgers are giving out an Ohtani-Decoy bobblehead at Dodger Stadium on Aug. 28 as a result of the increased attention that the friendship between Ohtani and his furry friend has received since then.

Mamiko Tanaka and Shohei Ohtani grabbed major attention during the red carpet event since this was only the second time Tanaka accompanied Ohtani to an event as a married couple. From that point forward though, it was all about the Dodgers ace, who was gearing up to play in his fourth MLB All-Star game.

Shohei Ohtani crushes 3-run home run in Midsummer Classic

The NL All-Stars jumped to a three-run lead in the top of the third inning at Globe Life Field on Tuesday. Both Jurickson Profar and Ketel Marte reached base after line drives against Boston Red Sox's Tanner Houck before Shohei Ohtani stepped up to the plate.

And he didn't disappoint, as he crucified an off-speed pitch and deposited it into right-center field to kick off the All-Star game in grand fashion.

Ohtani has been simply brilliant so far this season, and Dodgers fans will hope their superstar can continue this searing form at the plate in the second half of the season as well.

The Dodgers currently sit atop the NL West standings with a 56-41 overall record for the season so far.
