All eyes are on Will Smith as he aims to join Shohei Ohtani for the Midseason Classic this season. The reserve list is scheduled to be released on Sunday. After Friday’s three-homer game against the Milwaukee Brewers, his chances of getting his second All-Star invitation highly increased.
However, post-game, Smith focused more on a special date with his daughter, Charlotte. Cara Martinell Smith, Will Smith’s wife, shared the father-daughter date night moments on Instagram, thanking Dodgers for the venue.
“A daddy-daughter date in the clubhouse tonight… truly SO thankful for an organization that focuses so much on family,” she wrote in her story.
Cara also shared a photo of Smith in full daddy mode with their two-year-old daughter.
“The best girl dad,” she claimed.
On Saturday, Smith continued his dominance by leading off the Dodgers with a two-run moon shot in the second inning against the Brewers. They won the game 5-3, bringing their season record to 55-35, best in the NL West Division and second-best in the National League.
Will Smith’s daughter stole the spotlight in the Dodgers season-opener game
Will Smith's daughter Charlotte had been a regular in the Dodgers’ clubhouse In March. She came with her mom, Cara Martinell Smith, to support her All-Star dad in the US season opener against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Mrs. Smith perfectly captured Charlotte’s adorable moments, humorously dubbing her the Dodgers' announcer.
"'Is this thing on?? Because it’s time for dodger baseball!!!' -char,” she wrote on Instagram.
Smith became the fourth catcher in the Dodgers’ history to have a three-homer game. He joined the company of legendary catchers Roy Campanella, Mike Piazza and Yasmani Grandal. He is the second Dodger to achieve this feat this season, following Max Muncy, who did this in May against the Atlanta Braves.
