New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor won his fourth Silver Slugger Award on Tuesday and his wife Katia celebrated by praising him via social media. This is the slugger's second Silver Slugger in the National League with the Mets, as he had previously won two in the American League with the Cleveland Indians.
Katia captioned various celebratory posts as follows:
"Silver Slugger award winner X 4!! Proud of you @lindor12bc."
"2 in each league."
Katia has been Francisco Lindor's biggest supporter for most of his MLB career. The couple connected via social media, and a few direct messages grew into long chats, which ultimately resulted in the couple starting to date each other.
The duo welcomed their first daughter, Kalina Zoe, on November 4, 2020 and got married a year later, on Dec. 16, 2021, at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, Florida.
They welcomed their second daughter, Amapole Chloe, on June 17, 2023, and the happy family of four reside in New York, where Lindor has been playing baseball since signing a 10-year, $341 million contract extension in 2021.
Francisco Lindor produced yet another unforgettable season with the Mets, which saw him feature in the NLCS and finish his regular season with an impressive statline of .273 batting average, 33 home runs, 91 RBIs, and an OPS of .844.
Francisco Lindor and Katia celebrated their daughters birthdays
Francisco Lindor and his wife Katia celebrated both their daughters' birthdays together during the offseason by throwing a grand party. Katia took to social media to share delightful images from the party, which was attended by their friends and family members.
The duo are open with one another and continue to grow in the right direction. Reflecting on the same in an interview with Haute Living, Lindor said:
"Just sitting on the couch with my wife is quality time. Her quality time looks different, but I have learned to be able to communicate and say, 'Hey, I need, I need some time, some quiet time, all to myself.' And she understands."
He further added:
"From what I've seen, I've learned that we definitely need to put work into growing together, because if we start to grow in different ways, that's a problem."
They will be celebrating their third wedding anniversary next month as they continue to support each other through all their endeavors in life.
