Former Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer is wreaking havoc south of the border, playing for the Diablos Rojos Del Mexico of the Mexican Baseball League or Liga Mexicana de Béisbol (LMB). His exemplary performance from the mound has earned him a place on the cover of a popular Mexican magazine.
Bauer's agent, Rachel Luba, who actively shares the hurler's LMB success on social media platforms, posted an Instagram story showing the former Cy Young pitcher as the cover athlete for "Record" sports magazine.
"Proud of you @Baueroutage," she wrote in her story.

Trevor Bauer, who last played in the MLB in 2021 for the LA Dodgers, is still hopeful of landing a major league contract as he builds his case while playing in the LMB.
Initially, he signed a five-game deal with the Diablos Rojos Del Mexico with a major league contract clause, but now he has extended his stay and will be playing the entire season at LMB.
Agent Rachel Luba celebrates Trevor Bauer's eighth win in LMB
Trevor Bauer's pitching was too good yet again as the former MLB pitcher registered his eighth win of the season. Luba shared this achievement through social media.
Bauer threw 7.2 innings, allowing just one earned run while striking out seven hitters, of Olmecas de Tabasco. He lowered his ERA mark to 1.48 for the season.
"Win number 8 for @BauerOutage and his ERA lowers to a 1.48! ⚔️," Luba tweeted.
Last month, while answering a fan query, Trevor Bauer quoted an unspecified GM:
"We would love to sign him. We know he’d help us win and we know he’d be great in the clubhouse. But it’s not my decision. It’s an ownership and mlb decision. Let me talk to my owner," the GM said per Bauer.
This suggests that while there is interest among MLB GMs to sign Bauer, their hands are tied by the league and the owner who'll be making the final call.
"If you’re wondering why it would be “an mlb decision”, that’s a great question and something people should be looking into for a multitude of reasons. The only logical explanation for why I don’t have a job in the big leagues right now is that teams are being told they cannot sign me. And that’s a serious problem," Bauer wrote in his tweet.
Nonetheless, Trevor Bauer continues to make a strong case in Mexico and whether or not he gets offered for what's left of the MLB season remains to be seen.
