The right-hander, who played at Long Beach State, was a 7th-round pick by the Rangers in the 2022 MLB Draft.

Luis Ramirez's Crawdads teammate Anthony Gutierrez set to miss rest of season
Luis Ramirez's fellow Texas Rangers prospect and Hickory Crawdads teammate Anthony Gutierrez has suffered a season-ending shoulder injury, which requires surgery to recover.
The Rangers announced on Tuesday that Gutierrez will undergo surgery on Wednesday.
Per Texas Rangers on SI, Rangers team physician Dr. Keith Meister will perform the surgery in Arlington. This surgery will likely see Gutierrez miss the remainder of the 2024 season.
He started the season as the Rangers' No. 4 prospect, per the Dallas Morning News' rankings. But his decline in performance has seen him drop from No. 10 to No. 29 in Baseball America's midseason rankings. In 71 games, the 19-year-old slashed .241/.317/.315 with 21 RBIs and 14 extra-base hits this season.
He also got to play five games with the Rangers. He had four hits and three runs in 15 at-bats, with six stolen bases.
The Rangers signed Anthony Gutierrez with a $1.97 million bonus a couple of years ago during the international free agency period, straight out of Venezuela. He made his presence known in the Dominic League and Arizona Complex League.
