Kansas City Royals captain Salvador Perez was apparently supporting FC Barcelona against Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final on Sunday. Barca had an extraordinary triumph with their 5-2 victory against Los Blancos.
On Tuesday, Perez congratulated Barcelona's Brazilian forward Raphinha for being the MVP of the game. In a total of five goals, Raphinha scored twice, once in the 39th minute and the other in the 48th minute.
Perez posted an Instagram reel uploaded by Barcelona's official handle on his Instagram story, commending Raphinha:
"Caballo 🔥🔥🔥🔥."
Raphinha was elated by the honor and gave all the credit for his achievement to his teammates.
"I'm really happy to help the team secure this victory. Whether I play well or not, that’s not the most important thing. What matters is always giving my best so Barcelona can win trophies," Raphinha said during the postmatch press conference.

Now, the Kansas City Chiefs are getting ready for their AFC championship game against the Buffalo Bills, and it's a rematch since they've already faced off against each other once before this season. However, the Bills won that game with a score of 30-21. The teams clash again on Sunday, but the stakes are much higher this time as they're playing for the AFC title.
Perez has been showing his unwavering support for the Chiefs from the start of the season, now it's to be seen how far they'll go.
